"B" continues its adventure of creation and evolution - continuing to offer the finest creations by Chicago's top designers of clothing and jewelry within a unique and complementary collection of clothing and other accessories.  We are about the expression of individuality and style, not fashion trends.

The evolution of B is a story about the complexity of women's lives, our risk-taking with reinvention, and the abiding power of Sisterhood. A former civil rights lawyer, partner in a San Francisco law firm, law professor, and Ford Foundation program officer responsible for its grant-making in the field of women's rights globally and in the U.S., my work during 2010 is to transform the brick and mortar "B" into a more flexible entity to provide a space for women like me and like my friends who want to dress in a way that projects who we are now - hanging out with family and friends in something casual and maybe a bit funky, attending that special event in a dress no one else will find at a department store, showing up at the office in a look that says we have earned the confidence to hang up the constricting suits and pumps that younger women may need to be taken seriously.

Having closed the brick&morar boutique at 1117 W. Armitage, you will now find "B" in its web incarnation and also "popping up" physically from time to time at exclusive Chicago locations.  We will continue to bring you a carefully edited collection of the best in Chicago fashion design together with extraordinary accessories with a few unique items we select from other fashion lines.  We also continue to support
